Thanks to Maureen, who requested this, we put together this basic quiz on Spanish months. One thing to note is that the months in Spanish are not capitalized like they are in English, except when beginning a sentence or used as a heading. In short, they are treated like ordinary words. So here are the Spanish months or los meses.

Vehicles

This eight question quiz will cover general vehicles. There are various words for all vehicles, we chose the words we did for ease of use and common understanding. Car for example, can be carro, auto, coche, automóvil and a few others. The word train in common usage is tren, but is properly called ferrocarril.

It is with excitement, and nervousness, that we (my husband and I), welcome you to Spanish Quiz. Our goal and hope for this site is that it will become a useful resource for those wishing to learn Spanish or practice their language skills.

We will be starting with vocabulary type quizzes, but plan on expanding this to include grammar as well. We are also in the process of creating various quiz formats; the first ones that will be posted are a common variation on multiple choice, using groups of pictures accompanied by audio. We hope to have multiple-audio type quizzes completed in the near future.

Please note, you will need the Adobe Shockwave player to view the quizzes. We chose Shockwave over Flash because of its fast development cycle and extensible sound and image capabilities, which we plan on taking advantage of in the future.

I’m sure we will make many mistakes, especially in the beginning, and we welcome your feedback and suggestions to help us improve along the way.
